Continuing Education
for Auckland Psychiatrists, SMOs and Registrars

About
CME in Auckland
There are a variety of CME sessions in Auckland
each year. Some are run by individual pharmaceutical companies who
contact participants directly.
The
regular CME sessions are usually held at the Marion Davis Library in
the grounds of Auckland City Hospital, or, if that venue is
unavailable,
at the Clinical Education Centre (CEC) in the main building of Auckland
City Hospital. Below is a map of Auckland City Hospital with these two
venues marked.
The
regular monthly sessions are sponsored by Eli Lilly who cover the cost
of the
venue and a few refreshments. The timing is after hours, often on a
Tuesday although this does vary, with people gathering from 6.30 pm for
a session from 7-8 pm.
Email
flyers about CME sessions are emailed to all Auckland-region
psychiatrists, registrars and medical officers. If you aren't getting
these please let the coordinator - currently Felicity -
know.
There
are also intermittent notices by email regarding other sessions,
workshops and
conferences, if these come to the attention of the CME coordinator.
We
are always keen for presenters and for suggestions of topics about
which you'd like to have an update so feel free to make suggestions by emailing Felicity
